Tessa McCullough is the owner, coach, and trainer behind Asset Equestrian. Raised in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, and now based on the Canadian Prairies, Tessa brings a lifelong passion for horses and a well-rounded competitive background to her program.

 

She is an Equestrian Canada licensed coach with a strong foundation in Canadian Pony Club, Three-Day Eventing, Dressage, and Jumpers. Tessa’s approach emphasizes correct fundamentals, thoughtful training, and the development of confident, capable horses and riders.

 

Asset Equestrian offers a balanced, individualized program tailored to each horse and rider. Alongside competition-focused training, the program incorporates hacking and trail riding, groundwork and in-hand conditioning, ground driving and lunging, off-property hauling, mountain rides, and even swimming horses in the lake. This variety supports soundness, longevity, and a positive mindset in both horse and rider.

 

Tessa is passionate about producing happy, safe, and well-educated horses, as well as riders who feel confident and supported in their goals—whether that be competition, sales preparation, or long-term partnership.

 

She is also a proud mum to two girls and values balance, horsemanship, and a horse-first philosophy in everything she does.
